Crafting

Crafting is going to be unique from other games. NPC's you rescue will have knowledge of certain plans and blueprints. You'll be able to open a research lab on your space station which will lead to a tech tree. Most crafting will be done via a manufacturing facility on your station.
You will also be able to craft simple objects in person while on planets.
More advanced objects like armed mechs will only be able to be created from the station.
